VHS common problem, no picture, static picture, sound only...

This is a typical example of dirty or damaged video heads. It's very easy to make video heads dirty or damage them, just load the 'wrong' tape and it's done. You can try some video head cleaning accessories but if it not help the only way to fix it is replace them.
